When we jump to conclusions we are only ever working on our own perceptions of life. If we take the time to ask why, not only will we learn more about the person, but we may also learn more about the world in general. Asking not only boosts our interactions, but it also boosts our cognitive empathy as we learn about the perspectives of others which we may never have experienced ourselves.
